A STRONG WEEKEND FOR MDR AT THE WKA MANUFACTURERS CUP NATIONALS
Mike Doty Racing had a strong weekend at round number two of the WKA Manufacturers Cup Nationals at Carolina Motorsports Park in Kershaw, South Carolina with 15 top five finishes, 5 of which where first place.
Brandon Jarsocrak on his Haase Kart, won Yamaha Jr Heavy, Yamaha Jr Lite, and a strong 4th place finish after being moved back positions in tech in the Komet Jr Lite class. Junior driver Alex Verhagen had a dominate weekend in Yamaha Rookie Sportsman, winning both days features. Jared Cordova finished the Yamaha Jr Sportsman final # 2 in 2nd place and the Cadet Final #1 IN 3rd place. Neil Verhagen had a good weekend as well by qualifying 2nd in the Cadet Final #1, leading most the feature and getting wrecked out at the end of the race.
In the Parilla Leopard final, MDR driver Logan Beardon drove from 19th on the grid to finish on the 3rd step of the podium. Logan also found himself in a strong finishing position in the Tag Final 2 in the 5th position. John Mccusker finished in 1st place in the Yamaha Heavy Class and 5th in the Komet Heavy Class. Veteran driver Scott Carapellatti took his haase kart to a 4th place finish in the Tag Masters class. Brian Krummel drove from 19th to 3rd place in the competitive Yamaha Super Can Lite class and strong 5th place finish in Yamaha Heavy.
